For private cars, traffic on the island is mostly heavily restricted or closed. You can therefore best reach the MeerBlickD21, your hotel run Norderney, with three bus lines that leave directly from the harbour. You can park your car in various car parks on Norderney. Of course you can also take a taxi from the ferry quay on the island to the MeerBlickD21 hotel.
Alternatively, you can take your car directly to Hotel MeerBlickD21. In this case you have one hour to unload your luggage and park your car in one of the car parks on Norderney. You will receive the special permit to drive your car for a maximum of one hour to Hotel MeerBlickD21 on the ferry.
Travelling to Norderney by car
If you are travelling by car from Hamburg, Hanover or Bremen, you can reach the pier from Norddeich, from where you can take the ferry to Norderney, via the BAB 28 from Oldenburg to the Leer junction. Then take the A31 to the Emden-Nord exit, where you follow the B210 and B72 to Norddeich.
If you come further south from Frankfurt or Cologne, follow the Emsland-Autobahn A31 from Bottrop to the Emden-Nord exit, where you follow the B210 and the B72 to Norddeich.
Travel to Norderney by train
If you arrive by train, your final stop is “Bahnstation Norddeich Mole”. It is located opposite the ferry pier – so you can easily change from the train to the ferry.
By plane to Norderney
Thanks to its own airport on the island, Norderney can also be approached comfortably. Both the island airlines and Air Hamburg offer regular charter flights from Norddeich, Harle and Hamburg to Norderney. Details of the flight schedules can be found on the websites of the airlines.
Crossing to Norderney by ferry
From Norddeich Mole you can easily reach the island of Norderney in about one hour by ferry. Enjoy the crossing, because on the ferry the holiday starts!
